MRC is a nonprofit economic development organization partially funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s NIST-MEP program, as well as the State of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development. MRC is dedicated to creating jobs and economic opportunities in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh, Northampton, Schuylkill, Carbon and Berks counties.
What's So Cool About Manufacturing is a workforce initiative that was created by MRC to promote manufacturing careers. This impactful program has raised community awareness of alternate career pathways and has increased the student enrollment in manufacturing programs at local Career and Technical Centers.
