About Us

Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation delivers quality skilled nursing care, comfort and security to our residents. We offer a broad range of programs to meet the individual care needs of those we serve. Berks Heim provides short-term rehabilitation, secure memory support and long-term care in addition to a diverse activities program and social opportunities. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for our residents to achieve their best quality of life and maximum level of independence.

Residents in long-term care at Berks Heim receive rehabilitation services as needed to maximize independence, while those participating in short-term rehabilitation have a goal for discharge home or to the next level of care. Berks Heim offers 11 private rehab suites. The therapy team includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dementia Specialist and Fall Prevention Specialist.

Berks Heim offers Memory Support Care with programming specifically designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. The secure unit was designed to provide an engaging environment, natural light and comfortable semiprivate and private rooms. Residents are cared for by staff that have received training in Alzheimer's Disease and dementia. The programming provides activities that addresses their physical, emotional, social and memory care needs.
