Connections WorkTask: Connections Work provides Mock Interviews training/practice with each R3 cohort at our office at 19 N. 6th Street, 4th Floor, Reading. Volunteers are given an interview question sheet and a rubric to practice interviews with the clients and provide constructive feedback. Commitment: Mock interviews occur approximately every 10 weeks. Volunteers sign up for dates in advance; 2-3-hour timeframe. Requirements: No clearances are required. Preferred background in human resources or interview skills.
Connections WorkThe Pardon Project of Berks County helps eligible individuals with the pardon application process. This is a LIFE-CHANGING volunteer position. Pardon Coaches are trained to recognize the Board of Pardons' consideration factors and can help individuals submit their best possible pardon application. Connections WorkThe Mother's/Father's Voice Program allows incarcerated mothers and fathers of young children to record a story on a video. The child receives the video and book as a gift from their parent. The child can then watch the video of his/her parent reading while following along in the book. Birthday and holiday cards may also be included to celebrate milestones in their child's life. This provides a sense of closeness between the parent and the child that would otherwise not be possible and promotes the
