Haydeelin Martinez de Jesus (LSW) es Trabajadora Social Clínica, orgullosamente Boricua y Afrolatina. Cuenta con un Bachillerato de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico y una Maestría en Trabajo Social Clínico de Loyola University Chicago, con especialización en la salud mental de inmigrantes, solicitantes de asilo y refugiados.
Su propio camino desde Puerto Rico hasta Pensilvania le ha dado una comprensión profunda de lo que significa navegar entre culturas, identidades y el anhelo del hogar. Con un enfoque decolonial, interseccional y centrado en las fortalezas, Haydeelin crea espacios seguros de sanación donde las mujeres pueden procesar sus vivencias, honrar sus raíces y encontrar quietud en comunidad.

What does it mean to leave a place you love—and carry it with you everywhere you go?
For many immigrants and those who have moved far from home, migration brings opportunity, but it can also bring a quieter, often unspoken experience: migratory grief. It's the longing for familiar places, traditions, relationships, language and identity while building a life somewhere new.
Join us for a powerful De Mujer a Mujer conversation as clinical social worker Haydeelin Martinez de Jesus shares her personal journey from Puerto Rico to Pennsylvania alongside stories of resilience, belonging and healing. Through storytelling and honest conversation, we'll explore what it means to navigate multiple cultures, honor where we come from and create community wherever we are.

Haydeelin Martinez de Jesus (LSW) is a Clinical Social Worker, proudly Boricua and Afrolatina. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in the mental health of immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees.
Her own journey from Puerto Rico to Pennsylvania gives her a deep, personal understanding of what it means to navigate between cultures, identities and the longing for home. Through a decolonial, intersectional and strengths-based approach, she creates safe healing spaces where women can process their lived experiences, honor their roots and find stillness in community.
As Women2Women celebrates its 15th Anniversary—our Crystal Anniversary—we’re reflecting on the leaders, stories, and connections that built this community. Throughout 2026, each event will feature founding members, former speakers, award winners, and other influential voices who exemplify the impact Women2Women has had on women and Greater Reading over the past 15 years.
